Dr. Sara Messenger

RDH, MSDH

Sara is a registered dental hygienist dedicated to helping patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health through prevention, education, and personalized care.

She earned her Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Farmingdale State College in 2013, followed by her Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Farmingdale State College in 2016. She went on to complete her Master’s degree in Dental Hygiene at the University of Bridgeport in 2018 and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Health Science (DHSc) degree from the University of Bridgeport, reflecting her ongoing commitment to advancing her knowledge and the field of dental hygiene.

In addition to her clinical practice, Sara served as an adjunct professor at Farmingdale State College for two years, where she taught dental radiology to dental hygiene students. She has also received training in orofacial myofunctional therapy, further expanding her ability to support patients’ oral and overall health.

Sara strives to provide gentle yet thorough care and believes that patient education is essential to achieving long-term oral health. She takes pride in helping patients better understand their oral health and empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.

Sara has also participated in several outreach initiatives throughout her career, including providing dental care to underserved communities in Guatemala and volunteering in outreach programs in New York that support children and veterans in need of dental services.

Outside of the office, Sara enjoys spending time with her daughter and their dogs.
