Dr. Julie Mathew received her dental degree, Doctor of Dental Surgery, from SUNY at Buffalo, School of Dental Medicine, with a minor in oral diagnostic science. She decided to become a dentist after working for a female oral surgeon and interning for a female general dentist during her college years at SUNY at Binghamton. After dental school, she completed her residency at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, NY. From 2003 to 2012, Dr. Mathew work as an associate in several practices on Long Island. In 2007, Dr. Mathew opened Mathew Dental Group with her husband, Dr. Bilu Mathew. As a husband and wife team, it was important for them to treat all their patients like family, providing comprehensive, gentle and quality treatment with a conservative approach.

Dr. Julie Mathew loves meeting people and getting to know each patient. She is compassionate about helping others and giving people a reason to smile. She has completed mission trips to Ghana, Africa and Dominican Republic where extractions and placement of implants were completed to those less fortunate. She is a member of Academy of General Dentistry, a fellow of International Dental Implant Association, a silver tier provider of Invisalign, a member of Dawson Study Club and an alumni of the prestigious Dawson Academy.

Dr. Julie Mathew is not only proud to have Dr. Bilu Mathew as her dental practice partner for over 18 years, but also her husband for 23 years. They reside in Smithtown with their two beautiful daughters. When she is not in the office, she is trying new recipes of the kitchen, laughing with family and friends and travelling.
